Honey Chilli Beef Sticky Rice Bowls

Ingredients

  • beef mince 500 g
  • microwave sticky rice 520 g
  • Tenderstem broccoli 400 g
  • ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • honey 2 tbsp
  • soy sauce 3 tbsp
  • rice vinegar 1 tbsp
  • sweet chilli sauce 4 tbsp
  • red chillies 1 (sliced)

Method

Brown the beef mince

  • Heat a dash of oil in a pan on a medium-high heat, add the beef mince and cook until browned all over, around 8 minutes.

Cook the rice & Tenderstem broccoli

  • Meanwhile, cook the microwave sticky rice according to the packet instructions.
  • Steam or cook the Tenderstem broccoli in boiling water for a few minutes.

Add the honey chilli sauce

  • In a bowl mix together the ginger & garlic paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar and sweet chilli sauce.
  • Add the sauce to the beef and cook for another few minutes until the beef is sticky and glossy.
  • Thinly slice the red chilli and add to the pan, cooking for a minute (add more or less chilli to taste).

Plate Up

  • Plate up the sticky rice in bowls and top with the honey chilli beef and broccoli. Enjoy!
