The best Valentine's day dinner date restaurants in London

Valentine's Day is a day of love, but it can also be a day where we just want to eat and celebrate with our loved ones. What better way to spend Valentine's day than with your significant other? There are so many restaurants that will be having special dinners for couples on February 14th. For the purpose of this blog, we're going to focus on restaurants that are known for their romantic atmosphere. A perfect Valentine's date night would be something like having dinner at a fancy restaurant with your lover and taking in the beautiful decor. With Valentine's day just around the corner, it's time to plan a romantic dinner. You know that you want to take your date out for a special evening, but where should you go? Here are some great suggestions for Valentine's Day restaurants.

Mowgli’s Street Food

A Mowgli menu's modest dishes moves away from the old 20th century curry house cliche.  Mowgli's street food restaurant meals demonstrate that authentic Indian food is incredibly nutritious, often vegan, and always bursting with flavour. With their venues spanning across the UK, you can enjoy Mowgli’s menu from wherever you are and with the menu having a whole section on gluten free and vegan options, you really don’t have an excuse to not visit this wonderful place. For example check out their ‘Calcutta Tangled Greens - A beloved home staple. Sweet & nutty drumhead tangle with mustard seed & lemon.’ Sounds delicious right?

Bring your phones and camera’s out also for this one. With Mowgli’s stunning decor, beautiful lights and spacious sites, this restaurant chain is definitely Instagram worthy.

Café Spice Namaste

Café Spice Nameste sits on the edge of Royal Albert Wharf in the historic Docklands.

They offer a distinctive and inventive menu representing India's spectacular cuisine heritage, with a modern touch, in modern and sleek settings. Cyrus and Pervin Todiwala, in collaboration with Chef Manpreet Ahuja, have created a menu that allows you to enjoy and taste as many meals as you need to in one visit.

With meat, vegetarian and vegan options, Café Spice Nameste is a place for everyone. In this restaurant Cyrus Todiwala is inspired by his Parsi and Indian culture (even their desserts) which paved the way for new and exciting dishes to try out for people like you or me. With a venue looking this good and surreal, it’s a must - visit.

Caravan

Caravan is the place to go if your coffee is as vital as your meal. It began as a coffeehouse, Caravan Coffee Roasters, in Exmouth Market and has now expanded around London. I was fortunate to attend the opening night with friends and sample the sharing plates. Give yourself plenty of time to peruse the all day menu, which is jam-packed with options. Broken lamb meatballs, chermoula, aubergine, tahini, labneh, and pickled red onion are all recommended. Finish it all off with a chocolate,  dulce de leche tart and mascarpone. Nothing will fill you up if that doesn't!

Maple & Co

For a healthy night out, go to TimeOut's Best Healthy Restaurant, Maple & Co. Adria Wu's new menu promotes clean eating and offers a variety of alternatives for various dietary needs without sacrificing flavour or breaking the pocketbook. If you order from one of their numerous locations, you'll be sure to discover something that's not just healthy but also tasty.

It's recommended to check out their seasonal dishes and their platters as we think that's their real showstopper!
