They're easy to make and taste yummy. And if you're feeling ambitious, you can even make a pancake tower. It's fun for adults and kids alike! Here's how to get started on your pancake day project today!

Pancakes are typically made from flour and milk and egg but there are now many  vegan options. They are traditionally served for breakfast and eaten with maple syrup and other toppings. Pancake Day is also celebrated in several other countries and regions around the world with various names including Shrove Tuesday and Mardi Gras. Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday (the day before Lent) and therefore is typically celebrated by Christians all around the world.

We love an excuse to make pancakes! Here are the best pancake recipes you’ll find on our app.

Pancakes are pretty much on the menu every weekend in my house and always get a thumbs up from whoever is sitting around the kitchen table. These thick, light and fluffy American style pancakes are super easy to make. Sometimes they’ll be served with juicy blueberries and creamy Greek yoghurt, other times sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and sliced bananas. But, for an occasional treat we will fry up some delicious streaky bacon to serve on top then drizzle the whole lot generously with maple syrup.

You can't help but wonder whether it’s even possible to make vegan pancakes when many of the ingredients, such as eggs or milk, are dairy-based. Fear not! This vegan pancake recipe uses great alternative ingredients such as almond milk and yoghurt, oats and more.  The pancakes are topped off with the classic blueberry and maple syrup combination. You’ll never have to worry about feeling left out of your pancakes ever again.
